Pie: B3TA readers already know weebl and bob is the best thing since sliced toast. "When come back bring pie" is catchier than any Catchphrase ever presented by Roy "it's good, but it's not right" Walker.

As I get older (31 and counting), I'm noticing a worrying trend. I'm becoming the Victor Meldrew of Web design, endlessly nitpicking and grumbling on various discussion boards and comments pages.

Am I now doomed to a slow decline into a grumpy dotage? Would a change of profession help? Perhaps I could run away to join the circus and do an innovative toast-balancing act..?

Thanks for all your toast-related comments and stories. Such an overwhelming response demanded action, and so I now proudly present the Toast Leaners' Club

"Where's Dave?"

I wouldn't normally put something computer-related on this site, but my mouse worries me...

I thought I was the only one who does it. I was afraid to ask others. I didn't dare to speak out.

But then last week I discovered a colleague also does it. They started for the same reason, and developed the same technique independently.

So perhaps we're not alone.

Advanced Thermal-Emission Configuration

Do you stand two slices of toast against each other so they can cool before being buttered? Tell your story. Let's face the world together.

Get Archie

Never let a woodlouse
watch the excellent
Get Carter (not to be
confused with the crap
Get Carter, of course).
Archie's now demanding a shotgun and crawls around the notes all day acting tough.

Get Strong Bad

I know it's been mentioned everywhere, but Strong Bad's Email is just too good to avoid linking to.

Apparently all proper weblogs have a blogroll of links to other sites.

I can't quite bring myself to follow such conventions, but here's a bogroll of sites that have linked to malevole.

The delightful Sheppyscum site brought back many memories.

A few years back I spent a week there videoing Daihatsus rotating on turntables (long story). It's perhaps not quite as bad as the site makes out, but "recycled kebabs and dog fat" seems like a fair description of the Sheerness food I consumed.
