The local butcher's shop does some great lunchtime food (bangers and mash a speciality), but the friendliness of the service verges on the cult-like.

As I get older (31 and counting), I'm noticing a worrying trend. I'm becoming the Victor Meldrew of Web design, endlessly nitpicking and grumbling on various discussion boards and comments pages.

Am I now doomed to a slow decline into a grumpy dotage? Would a change of profession help? Perhaps I could run away to join the circus and do an innovative toast-balancing act..?

Thanks for all your toast-related comments and stories. Such an overwhelming response demanded action, and so I now proudly present the Toast Leaners' Club
